Nucleon structure in lattice QCD with dynamical domain-wall fermions quarks
نویسندگان
چکیده
We report RBC and RBC/UKQCD lattice QCD numerical calculations of nucleon electroweak matrix elements with dynamical domain-wall fermions (DWF) quarks. The first, RBC, set of dynamical DWF ensembles employs two degenerate flavors of DWF quarks and the DBW2 gauge action. Three sea quark mass values of 0.04, 0.03 and 0.02 in lattice units are used with 220 gauge configurations each. The lattice cutoff is a−1 ∼ 1.7GeV and the spatial volume is about (1.9fm)3. Despite the small volume, the ratio of the isovector vector and axial charges gA/gV and that of structure function moments 〈x〉u−d/〈x〉∆u−∆d are in agreement with experiment, and show only very mild quark mass dependence. The second, RBC/UK, set of ensembles employs one strange and two degenerate (up and down) dynamical DWF quarks and Iwasaki gauge action. The strange quark mass is set at 0.04, and three up/down mass values of 0.03, 0.02 and 0.01 in lattice units are used. The lattice cutoff is a−1 ∼ 1.6GeV and the spatial volume is about (3.0fm)3. Even with preliminary statistics of 25-30 gauge configurations, the ratios gA/gV and 〈x〉u−d/〈x〉∆u−∆d are consistent with experiment and show only very mild quark mass dependence. Another structure function moment, d1, though yet to be renormalized, appears small in both sets. KEK-TH-1107, RBRC-614

متن کاملNucleon matrix elements with domain wall fermions
The structure of the nucleon is one of the fundamental problems that lattice QCD can address. In the last few years, substantial efforts have been made by several groups [1,2,3,4] in calculating the non-perturbative matrix elements relevant to nucleon structure. Up to now only Wilson fermions, improved and unimproved, have been used in both the quenched approximation and in full QCD. In this re...
متن کاملNucleon-nucleon scattering from fully dynamical lattice QCD.
We present results of the first fully dynamical lattice QCD determination of nucleon-nucleon scattering lengths in the 1S0 channel and 3S1 - 3D1 coupled channels. The calculations are performed with domain-wall valence quarks on the MILC staggered configurations with a lattice spacing of b = 0.125 fm in the isospin-symmetric limit, and in the absence of electromagnetic interactions.

We report isovector form factors and low moments of isovector structure functions of nucleon from the coarse RIKEN-BNL-Columbia (RBC) and UKQCD joint dynamical (2+1)-flavor domain-wall fermions (DWF) ensembles. The lattice cut off is estimated at a−1 = 1.7 GeV. The lattice volume is as large as 2.7 fm across. The dynamical strange mass is set at slightly heavier than physical, and degenerate up...
متن کاملDESY 01-164 Overlap and domain wall fermions: what is the price of chirality?
Chirally invariant formulations of lattice QCD are still relatively new. However, besides their conceptual advantages, a number of physics applications have already been performed [1]. In these works it became clear that simulations with such formulations are expensive, even when they are restricted to the quenched approximation. Consequently, at the time of the conference no simulations have b...
